He finished as the second-fastest runner and the Auburn State University in Alabama claimant will compete in the final tomorrow.
Another Auburn claimant, Favor Ash posted the fastest mark of 10.06s on the screen while Javonte Harding (Tennessee) was the third fastest runner with a mark of 10.13s.
Previously, Azeem ran 10.14s to finish in third place at the East Coast Race in Florida last month.
In March, Azeem ran 10.32s at the Florida State University (FSU) Race Track Championship.
His former coach, Amir Izwan, admitted that the sprinter was getting better.
“I’m happy with the progress and 10.11s is a good record.
“I hope he will do another good record in the final,” said the Gunung Rapat Vocational School teacher.
Azeem’s main goal this year is to run the 10.00s to qualify for the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, August.
