England striker Ivan Toney made his debut for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli in a 1-1 draw against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
Toney, 28, completed a £40m move from Brentford to Al-Ahli on 31 August and played the full 90 minutes in his first match for the team.
Toney was joined by notable teammates, including former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, ex-Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez, and former Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Franck Kessie, formerly of AC Milan and Barcelona, opened the scoring for Al-Ahli with a stunning strike from the edge of the penalty area.
However, an own goal by Bassam al Hurayji in stoppage time gifted Al-Nassr a late equalizer.
Ahead of the game, Al-Nassr fans unveiled a tifo to honor Ronaldo’s 900th career goal, which he recently achieved while playing for Portugal during the international break.
