This Wednesday (1st), Internacional and Juventude face each other, at 9:30 pm, at the Beira-Rio stadium, in Porto Alegre, in the third phase of the Copa do Brasil.
Colorado arrives with a tense atmosphere for the classic “Juve-Nal”. Even with just 2 defeats this year, the team missed out on the final of the Campeonato Gaúcho and is coming off a frustrating draw at home against Atlético-GO, in the Brasileirão.
Eduardo Coudet, Inter coach, even said after the draw: “It’s been 7 years without winning the state championship, 45 years without the Brasileirão and 14 years without international titles. Either we work to improve or we rely on luck”, said the coach at a press conference.
To reach the third phase, Colorado beat ASA 2-0 and Nova Iguaçu, by the same score.
Juventude drew in the first phase against Iguatu and beat Paysandu 3-1. In fact, Juventude reached the Gaúchão final by eliminating Internacional itself in the semi-final. The club has 5 points in the Brasileirão.
