We need to come here and deliver
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to Sky Sports: “[Playing Manchester United] is always a big challenge. It’s a great place to come and play football of this stature.
“We are playing for something massive and we need to prove that – we need to come here and deliver.”
On it being hard to prepare for a game against Man Utd: “It’s always difficult. They do a lot of things and move their structure a lot, it’s hard to predict.
“They can change momentum in any direction and that is a big quality to have.”
On the title race: “We have to do the same. We have to earn the right to go to the last day [of the season] – the opportunity is huge.
On being favourites over Man Utd: “For me you have to earn the right to do it over many years and we have not done that.
“We are not thinking like that at all. We have done the homework and we have to be better than them.”
Plenty of recognisable faces inside the directors’ box today.
Ineos head of sport Sir David Brailsford popped out a little earlier, as did Lord Coe, who is part of the task force overseeing Old Trafford’s regeneration.
Comedian Matt Lucas is also here. The Arsenal fan stopped to pose for photos in the sun a little earlier.
